Lakeridge Winery’s 26th Annual Harvest Grape Stomp
For over 25 years, Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards has celebrated harvest season with a fruity, fun, family-friendly event: the Annual Harvest Grape Stomp. This year, from Saturday, August 15, to Sunday, August 16, the Central Florida celebration returns to Lakeridge with even more grapes, grub, and wine glasses. Here’s what you can expect from Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards 26th Annual Harvest Grape Stomp.
Stamp and Step
Kids, teens, and parents are all welcome to join in the grape stomp or cheer their favorite stompers on from the sidelines. Children 12 and under enter this annual Lakeridge event with a chance to participate in the grape stomp showdown for free, while adults pay $10 for standard admission — which includes a shot at grape-stomping glory. In addition, the winery donates a portion of the proceeds from this 26th annual event to the Alzheimer’s Family Organization.
Drink and Dine
Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards offers complimentary wine tours every 15 to 20 minutes. On the tour, visitors taste six to eight original Lakeridge wines and learn about picking up on flavor profiles and unique wine ingredients. Walk past tanks filled with hundreds of thousands of gallons of Lakeridge wine, peek at the bustling production area, and take in the vast natural scenery on this interactive and informative guided tour.
Before and after your tour, you can sample even more specialty wines and find a variety of bites to eat throughout the venue. Snack on delicate pairings of cheeses, nuts, and meats at the winery’s Wine & Cheese Bar, or make your way to the food court for a full plate of food. From American BBQ to Mediterranean cuisine, you’re sure to find the exact flavors you’re craving.
Sip and Sway
It wouldn’t be a Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards grape stomp without great music. As always, the 26th annual celebration features live, local talent all throughout the two days of the event. Artists from the Central Florida area perform on the outdoor stage, so you can enjoy a variety of tunes and tastes all at the same time. Live acts from last year’s Grape Stomp included:
- The Dave Capp Project
- David Julia
- Lauren Mitchell
